Heifer Indonesia support community development through assist in funding for small-scale integrated livestock and farming, capacity building for NGOs, CBOs and farmers both in organizational and technical areas. In implementing its program, Heifer Indonesia works with strong, efficient like-minded and non partisan project partners.

One of its key principles is  “passing on the gift” which requires project beneficiaries pass on their livestock’s offspring, skills or other type of resources to other struggling families in the community to promote sustainability.
