Pilot Learning Grants for Values-based Planning for Community Organizations
(2000-2002)

Offers to provide small planning grants were sent to 19 local, Sumatran NGOs to use values-based planning (i.e. the Cornerstones Model or CM) with two community organizations (CO) each. Twelve NGOs submitted requests for the planning grants. Three NGOs (four including HPI/Indonesia) that already had experience using the CM were given small mentoring grants to assist each of the NGOs with using the CM with one CO.

Eleven NGOs completed the process and submitted applications for a $500 Learning Grant to be used by one of the two COs that they conducted the CM with.
